Vada’s classmates

We get several email communications from Vada's childcare center each week for lunch menus, staff schedules, activities/recipes to try at home, daily activies, pictures, etc. It has been fun to get to know the other kids in Vada's room and see the different development stages she will be going through the next year. A 3 month old is joining the room next week so Vada won't be the only immobile one. Here is what the teacher sent out today to show how the week went.

Oh crap!

Literally. Jamie got into the dirty diaper bin when we were at the store. She loves ripping plastic so she had a field day shredding the diapers, trash bag, and wet wipes into a thousand pieces. The room and her were absolutely disgusting. Several rounds of laundry and carpet steam cleans later the room is largely poop free. Fortunately we only use disposables for getting Vada back and forth to daycare. If Jamie had a full bin to play with we would have had to burn our house down.

Yuck!

Here is another markerboard from Vada’s daycare. This is a weekly illness alert for the six classrooms down this hallway. Yes, ‘SW’ is Vada’s Swoosh classroom. No, she was not the pinkeye or vomit case.

First Day of School

Carmen returned to work today and Vada spent her first day in Nike daycare. Her first daily report card came back positive. I think that we are off to a good start!

These gray striped leggings are my favorite of Vada’s clothing! Unfortunately she is sporting quite the muffin top as the waistband gets too small for her growing belly. We’ll work on getting some better fitting outfits for her start at daycare this week.

Extra reasons to snuggle.

Vada had her 2 month doctor’s appointment today which included a hefty dose of vaccinations. She handled it like a champ… all 11lb. 8oz. of her!
It is also snowing out so we are taking it easy and snuggling on the couch.
