Vada is busy filling out all her valentine cards to hand out tomorrow! Hope the boys like princesses!
A rare snow storm hit the Portland area yesterday. Schools closed early afternoon yesterday and Nike followed suit. Most everything seems to be closed today as well and the snow is still coming down.
Vada’s preschool class has been counting the days of school and they made it to 100 today! They had a party with crowns, 100 cereal snacks, and a museum of 100 items. We made 100 mattresses to make a princess and the pea display.
In December I went on a work trip to southern California that included a few days camping in Joshua Tree National Park as team building. It was interesting. I would love to go back and visit again… but without the sand bags.
Every once in awhile I try to capture details of Vada so I don’t forget.
Two boxes, some tape, crayons and some imagination yield hours of fun.
Vada loves to play with the collection of bean bags at my work. She stacks them up, spreads them around, jumps in them, and hides in them.
We took Vada to see her first movie theater movie. In 3D! The princess movie Frozen was playing so we went to see that. She loved it and wanted to stay through all the credits.
We are trying to spend more time on the trails this year.
Vada and I travelled to Kansas over the holiday break. We tried out the teeny time airplane which lands in Great Bend. It was awesome until they cancelled our return flight! We spent a lot of time sledding, reading night time books with Grandma and Grandpa, seeing the farm cats, frosting cookies… All sorts of festive stuff!
