Vada had her 5 year doctor appointment yesterday. Which meant the painful shots for kindergarten. Four of them. So after preschool we went shopping for 4 prizes – only fair right? She picked out two princess dolls, a stuffed koala, and a locket necklace.
In other positive news she has grown so tall this year and is now in the 80th percentile for height!
Vada wears sparkle shoes every day. Notice anything about today’s outfit though? She has now taken to wearing one blue sparkle shoe and one pink sparkle shoe.
The temperature soared into the 60s today so we headed to the beach! Not a bad way to spend a winter January day!
Vada participated in a hearing screening at preschool today. One of the best exchanges during the verbal portion was when the therapist asked Vada why she brushed her teeth. Vada confidently answered “So that they don’t turn green and fall out.”
Vada and I traveled to Kansas after Christmas. We enjoyed time with family, ate sweets, opened presents, etc. Vada spent most of her time loving on my parent’s golden retriever Prince.
Vada didn’t want to leave preschool until she had finished a tracing template of letters and numbers she was working on.
We had a warm, sunny trip to the beach in Mexico over Thanksgiving. We filled our days with digging in the sand, swimming, riding horses, kayaking, and painting nails. The surprise of the trip was stumbling across a traditional thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant complete with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie.
