The transition to kindergarten has not been without some tears. So I was glad to see this English writing assignment from Vada’s first weeks. Lots of kids wrote they were “hape” but some said they were sad or bored!

I rented a paddle board for the weekend. Here is a rare picture of me without one or two kids balancing on the front.

Fairies are real

Vada and I were camping at Timothy Lake over the long weekend. Near our campsite we found signs of fairies! Vada helped build onto their “fairy school” during our stay. One of Vada’s friends informed me that fairies only come out in the night and that is why we didn’t see them.

Dinner cruise

Vada with some of her friends lined up to eat dinner in a kayak…. On land.

Hammock swing

The kids quickly turned the lazy relaxing hammock into a wildly dangerous swing.
