Family Visitors

My Mom, Dad, sister Kelly, and her daughter Zoey stayed with us this weekend. They were excited to meet Vada in her first few days home from the hospital. The size comparison between 7 month old Zoey and newborn Vada was fun – albeit slightly frightening.

It’s October 18!

It’s October 18 and we are ready! The car seat is installed. The baby’s things are washed and ready to go. Jamie and her dog beds are cleaned. The guest room is ready. My last day of work was Friday. The hospital bag is mostly packed. Jamie’s dog food is packaged up and ready to take to the vet where she will stay. Now we wait…

Baby Zolman’s room

The baby’s room is ready! Toban has spent many weekends and weeknights scraping walls, exposing ceiling beams, trimming, caulking, painting, hanging doors and more not only in the baby’s room but the entire upstairs. Everything looks amazing! Hopefully he has a couple of weekends rest before the baby arrives.

Toban painted the walls a soft, light gray color. Most of the furniture and decoration in the room is from Ikea. The frame above the rocking chair will be filled with the baby’s name and birthday once she arrives. I made the round, green footstool out of felt and foam stuffing. We love the white 3D flowers on the wall and hope that they can grow with our baby girl for awhile.
