Vada went to bed last night with no teeth and woke up with two. Evidence of the first one is pictured here. We couldn’t get her to keep her tongue in her mouth to photograph the second tooth on the bottom, she was too interested in jumping up and scaring us over the back of the couch.
We spent some time after Vada’s bath tonight playing with her hair. When dry it is still fuzzy wuzzy. But when wet can be combed and molded. And as evidenced by her thrashed face it was a rough and tumble day of playing.

In the past you had to have an account and login to post comments. I know it was a pain and no one posted comments because no one had an account on the site. I’ve opened it up so that anyone can post a comment to the blog without having an account. Just click the comment link and put in your information and it should post. That is all.
When Jamie plays she runs and slides into her bed like it is home plate. Vada has developed an affinity for climbing on Jamie’s bed. You can see where this is going… Last night Vada got hit by Jamie running flat out. She got bounced like a bowling pin. In Jamie’s defense it is hard to see when you are running through the house at 20 mph with a huge stuffed toy in your mouth.
Lots of icepacks and tears later and Vada is doing fine, but looks pretty rough. I figured something like this would happen eventually. That is a sentiment that is not shared by everyone in the house. Jamie and I were both very happy when we got back from our walk this morning and the locks had not been changed. Sorry V.
I have been deep in the heart of Texas the past couple of days researching football for work. (Hook ’em horns.) It was my first time away from Vada. It was tough to leave her but I managed OK once I was on my way. It seems like everything went smoothly here at home. We might even have video footage of Vada walking later on today. I sure am glad to be home!
I let Vada ride in the car style grocery cart at the store this morning. By the end of the trip she was steering.
