Vada loves to bounce around the pillows on our bed… Giggling, snorting, and neighing like a horse. I watch these videos on my phone almost every night before bed. They make my day.

The weather has been quite warm here (at least by our standards) so we headed to the cooler temperatures along the coast yesterday. We stopped along the way for a quick hike and then headed to the beach. We didn’t have an exact beach spot in mind so we just followed the first beach access sign we saw after our lunch stop. Luckily we managed to stumble across a beach that you could drive right on and park. It was a clean, wide open beach with plenty of space to run around and hang out. Perfection would have been water temperatures that a normal human being can tolerate but we didn’t complain for too long.
Toban usually does Vada’s hair in the morning and he started using this giant spray bottle to help. He can use it to wet her hair and then give it to her as a distraction while he combs.
Many days Vada refuses to get in her stroller for the trip home from daycare. She is in no hurry to get anywhere and stops at every stick, rock, bug, muddy spot, stair, etc. It is a huge test of my patience at the end of the work day.
Thursday marked Vada and her friends last day in the Swoosh Room. On Tuesday they will start a new year in a bigger kid room called Corky Cortez. (The Cortez is a classic Nike shoe.) I went through the daycare pictures from the past year to pick a few of my favorites to post on the blog. It ended up being over a 100 pictures so I compiled them in a video.

We went to a family day on Nike’s campus a couple weekends ago. They bring in bouncy houses, carnival rides/games, BBQ, etc. Vada was too scared to go in any of the bouncy houses even after Toban crawled in one. And she didn’t meet the height/weight requirements for the rides. She loved the water area though… They had set up a whole bunch of wading pools and slides and water toys. After playing in the water she spent the rest of the day with her hooded towel on like it was a super hero cape. Hopefully next year she can enjoy even more of the activities!
Drinking a smoothie, with hooded towel on.Can you find the hooded towel in this picture? She looked in all the bouncy structures but wouldn’t go in them.
