Don’t worry that Vada can’t open our back sliding doors. She just uses Jamie’s dog door!

I am forcing Vada outside as often as possible while we still have sunshine and dry weather.
We went to Parker’s house this morning to celebrate her 3rd birthday. Most of their daycare friends were there and Vada had a blast. Unfortunately Parker’s last day at daycare was Friday – boo! She is going to stay at home for awhile and then start the school programs closer to her house. Vada is going to miss playing with her every day.
Tonight at bedtime Vada said that she did not want Swiper (fox character from Dora the Explorer) in her room. I asked her why not and she said because he was sneaky. She put him on the bed in the next room. Other times we have found Swiper under her bed or in the corner of her room. I think I remember Kelly saying that Zoey treated her Swiper doll similar. There is some sort of psychology study here!
Jamie love love loves the van. Toban was doing some work on it this weekend and Jamie was thrilled to just hang out in the back.
Several weeks ago Vada and I had the opportunity to go out on a co-workers boat on the Columbia River. Vada was super excited and didn’t even hesitate to ride in the tube with me. Although I’ll spare you the video because she wanted to go super slow so the it’s super boring to watch. I will share a video though of me wake surfing which is about my favorite thing ever now.

I made it home this morning… To a sick Vada. We spent the day dozing – me jetlagged, Vada exhausted. She is miserable but at least experienced enough now to grab a bowl when she needs to throw up. We went to the doctor today (through the back door to not expose any other kids) and are hopefully on the tail end of this.
Vada and I Got a chance to visit my mom in Albuquerque over Labor Day. Vada had a blast picking tomatoes and climbing mountains.
