Vada loves to visit where I work. Every once in awhile if she gets ready early in the morning I bring her to my desk for a few minutes to an hour before I drop her off at daycare. She draws on my white board or sorts through color standards. And generally freezes up when anyone talks to her. These pictures show her running across a bridge on campus as we head back to daycare.

PCM

We went to the Portland Children’s Museum yesterday morning to burn some energy off Vada. It was so much fun we ended up buying a year long membership so we can go as many times as we want. (And Zoey and Cooper are signed up as a couple of our “kids” so they can go too if they are ever in town.)

This is in the vet area. It was pretty impressive and Vada spent quite a bit of time there. And surprisingly the little girl in the pink shirt in the back of the picture was also named Vada!

This is the water area where she immediately latched on to a “tiny” duck.

Here she is driving a bus. She directed me to sit in the back.

Christmas

We had a great time in Kansas for Christmas last week. Vada was healthy and happy and excited to take in everything Christmas!

Vada loved the presents. She helped pass out presents and tried to stay patient in opening but she just couldn’t help herself sometimes.

Vada loved the big kids at G-Ma’s house. Especially Adelaide and Angeline who she referred to as the “tiny people”. Here her cousins are teaching her how to play air hockey.

Vada was a great eater over the holiday. At G-Ma’s she even helped tear up bread to make the stuffing.

This super soft stuffed bunny rabbit immediately stole the show. It still has not left her side.

G-Ma had her oldest and youngest grandkids with her for the first time this Christmas!

These slinky tube things were a hit at our “farm” christmas.

Luckily at Grandma and Grandpa’s we were able to salvage the smallest area of snow for sledding. Vada was so brave and had a blast. The slope and sleds were a perfect size for her.

Vada is a big fan of Dora. We read or watch or make up Dora stories every day. Now she has the entire cast in stuffed animals!

Decorating sugar cookies is a tradition at Grandma’s house. Vada was a sprinkler this year and they were everywhere!

Grandpa got a remote control motorcycle guy at a Christmas party. Everyone took a turn driving it down the street.

Ready!

We are flying today so Vada finished her advent calendar one day early. She is ready to go!

(Thanks for the calendar Mom/Grandma!)

Christmas tree

P20

Here is our tree all decorated. This is the first time we have decorated a Christmas tree but luckily we had collected a solid assortment of ornaments over the years. A few strings of lights and ball ornaments and we were set. Vada (and Jamie) has done great with the tree. The only accident we’ve had was in the first minute of getting out the box of the Christmas stuff – Nativity set Mary’s head got snapped off. Toban is getting good with super glue though.
